After a long gap, I got time to post a recipe here in my blog! And when it is after a long gap, it has to be a special sweet right?! So here is a very simple and absolutely delicious recipe that will make you drool over.
It requires very few easily available ingredients and does not require ghee too. The richness of almonds will reflect in the taste of the dessert.

Yield - Makes 25 pieces
INGREDIENTS:
- Badam/Almonds - 1 cup
- Sugar - 2 and 1/4 cups
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- Cardamom powder - 1 teaspoon
METHOD:
- Soak the almonds in water for 1-2 hours. Peel the skin and grind them with milk into a very smooth paste, without any grains (Do not add more more milk, than mentioned)
- Grease a tray with ghee
- In a heavy bottomed pan, place sugar and add water just enough to immerse it (about 1/2 a cup)
- Add cardamom powder and keep stirring in medium flame
- Let the sugar dissolve and once it reaches one string consistency ** add the ground almond paste and mix well in medium flame
- Keep stirring and reduce the flame after 10 minutes
- At a point, the mixture will thicken and start leaving the sides of the pan. Now immediately pour the mixture on to the greased tray and level it
- After allowing it to cool for 10 minutes, while it is still warm, cut into pieces of your desired size
- Store in air tight container and enjoy the divinely delicious delight!
