After purchasing a new oven, I always wanted to try some grilled dishes. But I only ended up making cakes, cakes and more cakes! Finally I got some time to try out restaurant style paneer tikka and the result was too good. I tried it in my oven but this can easily be done on stove top too. Try them out and let me know the feedback.

INGREDIENTS:
- Paneer cubes - 6-8
- Onion - 1, diced
- Capsicum - 1, diced
- Tomato - 1, diced
For marination:
- Thick curd - 1/2 cup
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/4 teaspoon
- Chaat masala - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
- Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - as needed
- Gram flour/besan - 1 tablespoon (only for stove top method)
METHOD:
- Mix all ingredients under "For marination". Make sure that the curd is thick
- Add paneer cubes and diced vegetables and mix well so that all are coated well
- Keep in the refrigerator for 2 hours
- If using wooden skewers, soak the skewers in water for 10 minutes
- Pre-heat oven to 200C
- Insert the paneer carefully into the skewer and alternately insert other vegetables
- Brush a little oil on top of it, place them on a baking tray and keep it on the low rack of the oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes (Turn the skewers after 10 minutes, to ensure uniform baking)
- If cooking on stove top, heat a non-stick tawa/pan and drizzle a spoon of oil
- Place the skewers on hot tawa and keep turning them in intervals. Cook till the paneer turns golden brown
- Serve hot with green chutney!
Note: Inserting them in skewers is optional, you can cook them as individual cubes and serve
Looks yum!
