This curry turned out to be a very tasty side dish for roti. It has a whole lot of spices included in it which makes it so flavorful.
INGREDIENTS
- Capsicum - 2 big
- Onion - 1 big
- Tomatoes - 2 medium sized and ripe
- Red chilli powder - 1 Tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 Tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 Tsp
- Kasoori methi - 1/2 Tsp
- Roasted sesame powder - 1 and 1/2 Tsp
- Roasted peanut powder - 1 and half Tsp
- Salt - as needed
- Curry leaves - 4 to 5
- Oil - 1 Tbsp
- Coriander leaves - for garnish
METHOD:
- Heat oil, add onions, curry leaves and fry them till they are transparent
- Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt and mix well
- Add capsicum, tomatoes and fry for 6 to 7 minutes
- Add half a cup of water, cover the kadai with a lid and cook for 10 minutes on a medium flame
- Now add the roasted sesame and peanuts powder, kasoori methi and mix well. Cook without the lid for 5 more minutes
- Turn off the heat and garnish with coriander leaves
- Serve hot with roti
